Narciso Rodriguez for her. Narciso Rodriguez.

Perfumer: Christine Nagel / Francis Kurkdjian.

Notes of petit grain, bergamot, osmanthus, vetiver, patchouli, cashmere wood and oakmoss.

Chypre category never been one of my favourites, till I discover this scent.

Chypre compositions are based on the juxtaposition of earthy notes of oakmoss and other supporting notes with the fresh notes of bergamot, citrus or other highly aldehydic notes. The contrast creates a surprisingly smooth result, where extreme blurring of the notes occurs, and all the notes are blended into each other while none stands out in particular. This is one of the most unique things about Chypre, and along with their versatility and endless possibilities for originality they are often perfumer’s favourite group to work with.

Now, the marriage of chypre with other notes is likewise fascinating. And here is the best example.

The chypric ambery facet of its composition has a superb reminiscent for me to CDG "888" but, in Narciso Rodriguez, the amber-musky drawing effect here makes it more sophisticated and refined.
The crisp sweetness opening with citrus fruitiness gives way to a light-floral heart, dominated by petit grain.
The orange blossom here is quite playful, fresh, also sensual, that connects beautifully with a bright woody drydown sparkled with a rich bright amber.
The patchouli is just here a short whisper.
Surround in a voluptuous musky richness, the formula keeps heady and comfortable while the drydown ends in a warm, pleasant twist.

I don't really care if it has a distinctive feminine character; I choose to wear this perfume when I feel romantic. It has a familiar unisex connection with other launches, that make love it massively.
I do love the amber-musky touch on it. Perfect for a long walk in fall.
The long lasting is rather acceptable but tends to get close to skin during its scent life.

I am also an admirer of this scent for women, and am known to wear it myself around the house from time to time. To my mind, it is flawless.

see? your me is an adorable perfume.
Candid, not overly sweet, balanced.
i do like it a lot, and I wear it indoors or outdoors.
I don't really mind.
I do love it.
Much more than the overly dark, sweet male version.

Agree! Like it on a male anytime better than the NR male version.
One great piece, of the moderns.
Greetings :-)
