Perfumer: Parlux lab.
Countains: sky air notes ( ozone), cucumber, fig leaf, mango, sage, juniper bud, hydroponic basil, cedar, amber.
This sexy, cheeky fragrance is a fresh, crisp and gorgeous blend, great for any occasion. Never mind if we like Ms. Hilton or not; the truth is her perfumes are good, and we like them!.
Two summers ago I started to get interested in the Paris Hilton range, when a relative of mine, that lives In Australia, came over for a short visit. She wore Paris Hilton for Women, and I just fell in love with that marvellous fragrance.
Then, last month, I decided to ask for a bottle, blindly, and see how it was. The result is more than positive.
It's flirty and sensual with a strong playful character.
P.H. opens very ozonically; crispy and fresh with a remarkable hint of ozone and the odd cucumber hint: (a green, ghostly, aquatic and cold note), followed with a real sharp fig leaf touch.
The main composition sees the fig leaf reign over cucumber, mango and juniper. The mango touch is dewy, lively, frozen, fruity but not very sweet. It is fantastically balanced with the rest of the composition and its smell is just sublime; extremely well represented, being a synthetic version.
After two hours or so you can just about detect small doses of mediterranean herbs that blends beautifully with the whole composition, juniper and mango being the main notes, still.
As it dries down, the projection fades away simultaneously but is still noticeable, turning slightly woody and calming.
The final result could be an additional member in the Sherbert series of Comme des Garçons. It smells just like icy, freezing mango sherbert.
It's heady and reacts beautifully with the weather. It creates a lovely aura surrounding the wearer.
It has strong and monstrous projection, I admit it: if you over-spray, it will turn slightly rancid.
It's very hard to explain the result, as mango fruit has always been used in female colognes, but this one could easily be labelled as unisex, or even masculine, with the presence of juniper and basil. There's not an obvious feminine side to it at all.
It's cheerful, fantastic for going out in the summer or spring time, even in cruel winters as I wear it today in wet, grey and rainy weather.
Its endurance is admirable. Up to 7 hours, and staying!. Copyright © 2007 . All rigths reserved.
