L'eau Par Kenzo Indigo Duet. Kenzo

Kenzo, after its recent launch of a limited edition of the same line, sets free another twist of the famous pair L`Eau Par Kenzo.
This time the are sub-named as Indigo being both juices an intense and different interpretation of it origins.

Will arrive on the market during July 2009, but I have the immense luck to get on with the salesman from Paragon's Kenzo here in Bangkok, so, kindly, he applied me some drops in both wrists from two testers, secretly, as they are not officially launched yet.

So here's my brief impression:


L'eau par Kenzo Indigo pour homme becomes as a Eau de Toilette intense.

Perfumer: Sophie Labbé.

Notes of lime, coriander, ginger, lemongrass, elemi, vetiver, cedar, amber, labdanum and tonka bean.


Sparkling yet sensual in the Asian way.
It starts out fresh with the lime and strong notes of spicy ginger.
After that, although is a nice cologne, it dances in the mainstream side: is not remarkably original.

It develops shy: dark-woody-musky notes and a touch of earthy masculine notes laying in a base of vetiver and amber.
It has similiarities regarding the vetiver spirit of the "L'eau par Kenzo ICE", but intenser, with a nice touch of musky drydown.

"Pour Homme" smells too generic to my taste after the ginger and lovely spicy top notes fades off and the longevity is mediocre.


L'eau Par kenzo Indigo pour femme, Eau de Parfum.

Perfumer: Christine Nagel.

Notes of bergamot, mandarine, jasmin sambac absolute, heliotrope, orange flower absolute, violet leaf, ylang-ylang, tonka and amber.

It starts out soapy-clean; It is a soft, airy but noticiable, vintage abstract perfume, light yet delicious sweet, feminine & sensual centered in a linear floral soul with a smooth, sweet-but-clean orange blossom resting on a base on heliotrope, violet and amber notes.

The drydown is soft, ambery and slihtly musky.
Reminds me a sofisticated version of "Vintage" limited edition mixed with "Jungle".
The longevity is pretty nice in this case.


Indigo is connected with anxiety (tension and inner unrest) in psychology, and the new notes enable listening to inner voice and finding the right choice and solution. Indigo for women and Indigo for men present connection with one’s personality, impulses and deep feelings, and finding inner peace and deep relaxation.

Kenzo lately keeps bringing "old fellas" with "new faces".
But, can we expect a proper new perfume for the male soon, after the very big sucess of "Power"?
