Pomegranate Noir. Jo Malone.

Perfumer: Unknown.
Notes of pomegranate (grenadine), pink pepper, raspberry, plum, opopanax, frankincense, patchouli, musk, and cashmere wood.

Dark, woody fruits is really all of it. Lush in a bottle.

Pom. Noir opens dry, where a peppery halo surrounds it all. The grenadine is the main note of the whole formula, represented here in a soft fruity way, but with a wonderful complexity. Being the primary note, it accounts always as a companion, being the shadow of the others, with the pepper in the opening, and with the incense in the base notes…
It quickly develops in something dark, dry, woody. It actually smells like a very dry-sweet wood. It brings me olfactory déjà vu of the “Palisander “ or “Sequoia” from CDG Red series. A woody grenadine.
The scent gets quite heady, beautiful.
After 15mt of apply the incense character start to raise slowly but with presence.
The gourmand accents as the raspberry and the grenadine melts beautifully and creates a slightly milky, tart-like, while the smoky notes and the woods, fill all the formula.

There’s come a hint of opopanax. Just a soft touch.
The patchouli emerges in a dry, arid and earthy way. It a path to land into the reality, after been floating into a sweet smoky woody heaven.
The result is actually very pleasant, not too oriental, not to sweet, not too woody. A great blend that makes a great mysterious fragrance.

The perfume stays forever in your skin. Fantastic long lasting The projection is massive.
