KenzoAir & KenzoAir Intense. Kenzo

Perfumist: Maurice Roucel / Elizabeth Carre.

Notes: bergamot, evergreen, star anise, vetiver, cedar.

This perfune is, for me a impact. A nostalgic olfatory image of the summer in my county.
It has a minimal composition; a good example of , that simple things can be really well done too.
The bottle design is precious, It's one of my favourite. It has been designed by the artist Laura de Santillana, recreation a window in the sky, like a skylight, a slice of pure air, a deep breath walking through a meadow.
Kenzoair opens so quiet that it almost feels like there is no scent, but there really is a transparency with bergamot, evergreen, (wild thyme) and already hints of anise, and creating a wonderful airy representation.
In a few minutes the perfume gets personality and body, and the anise accord raises and is more evident, and blends beautifully with the vetiver and cedar. There's altrough a nice ambient of forest and conifer accord.
KenzoAir is minimal, linear, and brings along gorgeous natural notes, every single one would step back in time and will remember chilhood, familiar moments...
The long lasting is just average. It's a quiet fragrance.

KenzoAir Intense (Eau de parfum): notes of angelica root, aniseed, cumin, pure vetiver extract, cedar, amber.
It has similarities with kenzoAir EDT, but this time, with addiction of spices. Cumin and aniseed here are evident.
The opeming is spicy and more earthy than the predecessor. There's a lack of transparency halo here.
The cumin arrives fast and reigns all the way through... The dry down is more woody, with a sharp accord of vetiver with amber in the background.
I prefer the original one. I'm not a big fan of cumin.
The original "bottling" is nicer than the Intense version too.
