Eau des Iles. Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier.

Perfumist: Jean Laporte.

Notes of grapefruit, green coffee beans, galbanum, myrtle, tarragon, ylang ylang, clove, palmarosa, incense, cedar.

First Sniff and here it comes: punch in my face!:
Start with an unusual mix of soft Colombian green coffee beans and a very dry accord of grapefruit, all blending with the galbanum as it emerges comes through the composition:
The galbanum smell is acrid, resinous, balsamic, a promient bitter note here.

Herbal driesness, appears, another big punch, but quite intriguing, and to my taste, attractive. Green herbal touches, myrtle, tarragon and palmarosa (a mild sweet floral like odor with a strong herbal note), that mixes nicely with creamy ylang-ylang.
The drydown is placed by a smoky incense note , cedar, and a touch of shy clove.

The sillage is superb!.
It’s a strong smoky interesting fragrance, different form most of the rest launches out there, distinctive.
Will I wear it?. Not sure!.

My flesh normally pronuncie sharply, smoky, dark, spicy and woody accents, so, after several hours, when this tenacious perfume dies, the close-to-skin scent reamins as something similar as the smell that your skin, hair and clothes have when you spend a long time in front of a campfire.

I have to admmit though that this perfume smell delicious in another's skins. It's just not made for my chemistry skin.
